We can get the continuous flow of electric current by maintaining the potential difference between the two ends of the conductor using a cell or a battery.

A constant potential difference can cause a continuous flow of electric current in a circuit.

A constant voltage difference across point C pushes the electrons from B to A. The flow of electrons due to the push caused by a constant potential difference across C from B to A causes a flow of current from A to B in the opposite direction of the flow of electrons.

For a continuous flow of electric current the potential difference across C should be constant and maintained.
