u should first search the topic of which u do want a book..... search number of books and ask ur seniors about the best of them...

then try to see the book which u liked most from anyone who already has it....

if u r satisfied by that book , u can buy it..

1. Ask your seniors who are good in studies.
2. Visit  the online book selling sites and opt for the book with highest ratings.
3. Better to visit the sites selling old books, so that you can at-least know some people are using those books.
4. Taking advice from respective subject teacher is must.
