reciprocal of minus 5 is 5
it is because if there is a sign of minus or plus we have to reverse the sign

reshmadasam: it would be1/-5 as in reciprocal we often exchange the numaretor with the denominator

The reciprocal of any number is 1 divided by any number.

For example the number is x.
So it's reciprocal will be 1/x.
Thus the reciprocal of -5 will be
1 / -5 .

hope this helps.....
