Explanation:

Before you get started planting grass, you'll need to make sure your soil is in good condition. ... it is a good idea to apply a " grade," or slope, away from the house foundation.

hope it helps

Answer:

Explanation:

1) Nutrition - Fertilization of your lawn will play the most important part in its appearance. The proportion of Nutrients like N,P,K etc should be maintained well year around. This could be done using manures like natural dried cowdung or Vermicompost etc. And if manures are not readily available in your area you can also opt for chemical fertilizers like UREA AND DAP etc, but in a balanced quantity.

Micronutrients like calcium, copper etc can also be used.

2) Sunlight - Natural light is also very important in keeping your grass healthy. The light requirement differs with different varieties of Turfs and one should be aware of the variety and its particular light requirements.

3) Soil - Whilst the quantity of soil underneath the grass is of much important , the quality of the soil should also be good. Most of the times soil with lime stone content hampers the growth of the lawn rendering it patchy at many places. The minimum thickness of soil beneath should 6-8 inches throughout of a long lasting lawn. The PH of the soil should also be monitored and maintained as per required.

4) Watering - Watering should be done in proper amount throughout. Entire lawn area should be evenly watered for better results.
