The hair on mammals body helpsthem to maintain a certain bodytemperature in extreme conditions. These hair act as a bad conductor ofheat energy,in other words it act as a n insulator.So,that's why it helps them tokeep their bodies warm in extreme conditions.

because hair is bad conductor of heat so it doesn't let the heat to pass through it and therefore it keeps certain animal like sheep , yak warm.
