How to identify a chemical change?

if there is any change in its state, if precipitate is formed , formation of new substances , change in its properties.......if any of them takes place then it's a chemical change.......

  • It is usually an irreversible change.
  • For example, rusting of iron, baking of bread, fermentation, etc.

● Identification of Chemical change is -

Look out for following things to detect a chemical change -

  1. Change in temperature
  2. Change in colour
  3. Change in odour
  4. Change in appearance
  5. Formation of precipitate
  6. Formation of bubbles
  7. Production of light
