firstly see variable which are depends on other independent variables .
if dependent variables are differentiate w.r.t. independent variables ,,then equation is differential equation .
for example
dy/dx + yx² = tanx
in this differential equation
y is dependent variable and x is independent variable .
if dependent variables are differentiate w.r.t. independent variables ,,then equation is differential equation .
for example
