carbon dioxide is a Greenhouse gas. If the amount of oxygen is decreased in the atmosphere and the amount of carbon dioxide is increased then due to greenhouse effect carbon dioxide will trap the Sun radiations and will warm the Earth which result in global warming...

Answer:
Gases like carbon dioxide (CO2) are known as "Greenhouse Gases". An increase in the amount of these "greenhouse gases" like "carbon dioxide" (CO2) will result in trapping more and more heat from the outgoing shortwave solar radiation, thus trapping more and more heat on the surface of the Earth, by the atmosphere, promoting global warming. Ultimately this can be attributed to an increase in the greenhouse effect of the Earth.
