* Bring negatively charged rod near (without touching it) the metallic ball.
* Positive charges are induced near the negatively charged rod.
* Connect the metallic ball to the ground.The negatively charged electrons moves to the ground.
* Disconnect earthing, remove negative recharged rod.
* The positive charge gets uniformly distributed in the metallic ball.
