How to isolate mitchondiral dna from hydra?

I'm trying to isolate the mitochondrial genome from tissues of marine invertebrates. Initially I tried to use a kit (ABICAM) for isolation of mitoncondrial DNA, however there is considerable contamination with nuclear DNA
