If we factorise the number and pairs of number is incomplete then the number is not a perfect square.
For example : 12 = 2 × 2 × 3
Now , we can see that pair of 3 is incomplete so the number is not a perfect square.
Hope it helps.

Here's your answer!!

Let's try it doing in a easier way by taking an example....

Take a number, say 910.

Now, it's closest perfect square is 900.

Now, we know that square root of 900 is 30.

Now divide,
➡ 910 ➗ 30
= 30.3

Mean of (30.3+30)/2 = 【30.15】

Therefore, the root of 910 is 30.15 (approx.)
