How to know the nature of image in mirror and lens

Explanation:

▪For both mirror and lens

If the magnification is positive then the image formed is virtual and erect but if the magnification is negative then the image formed is real and inverted.

▪ For Mirrors

If the image is formed behind the mirror then it is is real and inverted but if if the image is formed in front of the mirror then it is virtual and erect.

▪ For Lenses

If the image is formed in front of the lens then it is real and inverted but if the image is formed behind the lens it is virtual and erect
