Acid and Base can be identified by 3 ways...
1] Which can give H+ ions are classified as acid and which can give OH- ions are called as base.
2] Lewis Acid and Base:-
Element which can accept lone pair are called as acid and which can give lone pair are called as base.
3] Arrhenius Acid and Base:-
Arrhenius acid dissociates in water to form hydrogen ions, while an Arrhenius base dissociates in water to form hydroxide ion.
