❯❯❯ Leguminous plants are also known as crop rotation. The farmers grow same crop at same place because of the crop's good productivity and that's why the soil of that place becomes nutrients deficient. Then this leguminous plants helps to overcome nutrient deficiency. The leguminous plants does not take nitrogen directly. Nitrogen needs to get converted into nitrogenous compounds and this process is called Nitrogen Fixation. It's roots nodules contain rhizobium bacteria from which nitrogen converts into ammomia. Then the Nitrifying Bacteria converts this ammonia to nitrites and then nitrates. Also some nitrogenous compounds also produce due to lightening strikes and from animal excreta and dead plants. There are denitrifying bacteria too which agian convert these nitrates into the Atmospheric Nitogen. This whole cycle is known as Nitrogen cycle
