we know that relation between normality and molarity which is

normality=molarity*factor x

factor x is differs for acid,base and salt

in case of acid

factor x value is no. of h plus ions on decomposition

in case of base  factor x is no. of  oh- ions on decomposition

in case of salt factor x is charge

here we have acid so we take

normality=molarity*factor x

decomposition of sulphuric acid

h2so4=2h+ +so4 -2

here we have h plus ions two so factor x is 2

therefore come to expression we have

normality=molarity*factor x

0.5=molarity*2

molarity=0.1

molarity is 0.1 which means

no . of moles of solute/volume of solution =0.1

dissolving  1mole of so4 -2 in 100 ml water or 2 moles in 200 ml water
