Explanation:

Though I have not made this model, but still, I can guide you how to make one. I will give you the basic guidelines, but the design details (for practical implementation), you will have to arrange.

So you will require following items:

A Burner with a gas cylinder

A pressure cooker

A small Turbine, with blades

A Dynamo with a LED bulb

A small water pump

Connecting hose pipes (prefer metallic hose)

Working Principle:

Burner, along-with a gas cylinder will be the source of energy, to run the model Power Plant.

The pressure cooker will act like a boiler of a thermal power plant. It will generate steam at required pressure and temperature.

Turbine will work as the prime mover, which will rotate the dynamo.

Dynamo will work as an Alternator or Generator, which converts mechanical energy into electrical energy.

Water pump will act as a Feed pump, used to supply water to the Boiler (here, to pressure cooker)

Hose pipes will act as the “headers” which are used to transfer water and steam in Thermal Power Plants.

Setting up of the Model Power Plant:

Connect the pressure cooker with the water pump discharge. Needless to say, maintain water availability to the pump suction.

Place the pressure cooker on the gas burner.

Connect the Pressure cooker outlet (by removing the lid) to the turbine.

Mount turbine and dynamo on same shaft (steel rod), so that when turbine rotates, it also rotates the rotating part of the dynamo.

Use metallic hose for above connections

Operation:

Half fill the pressure cooker with water.

Start heating the pressure cooker by placing it over the burner flames.

When steam starts coming out of the lid opening , direct it to turbine blades.

This steam will force the the turbine blades to rotate, thus turbine will be rotated.

The rotating turbine will rotate the Dynamo, mounted on the same shaft (steel rod).

Dynamo will generate the electricity, following the Faraday's Law of Electromagnetic Induction.

LED Bulb will be illuminated.

Ensure continuous supply of water in the pressure cooker using water pump.

Mission Accomplished!!

Explanation:

Thermal generators or specially designed furnaces produce this wonderful thermalelectricity. Thermal power plant burn fuels to boil water and make steam. The steam is then used to spin a turbine which is connected to a generator that weaves electricity.
