How to make abacus model using thermocol
Answers
Items Needed:
One large rectangular thermocol board
Ten thin wires of about 15 inches that can be pushed into the thermocol at the ends. (Make sure that the wires are long enough such that there is enough space for the beads to move freely after insertion)
Some colorful beads. (10 beads in 10 different colors)
Thermocol cutter
Method:
1. Cut the thermocol board into two small rectangular boards, each with length of about eight inches and breadth of about five inches.
2. Place one of the thermocol pieces upright such that the longer side faces you.
3. Now, gently push one end of one of the wires into the above mentioned thermocol taking care not to break the thermocol.
4. Slip all the beads of the same color through the wire.
5. Place the second piece of thermcol parallel to the first one.
6. Push the other end of the wire after slipping all the beads through into this thermocol like above.
7. Repeat steps 3 to 6 until all the wires are placed between the thermocol boards and each wire has 10 beads of the same color.
8. Your abacus is ready.
