Hello friend,
-----------------------
Here is your answer,
Step 1 :
=> Take your ruler and a pencil and construct a segment of any length on a piece of paper.
=> Then, try to set your compass opening just as the length of segment AB.
=> Take your compass. Put the needle of the compass at endpoint A and adjust your compass so that the tip of your pencil touches end point B.
Step 2 :
=> Put the needle of your compass at A and draw an arc.
=> Put the needle of your compass at B and draw an arc.
=> The two arcs should meet at a point.
Step 3 :
=> Draw the segments from the two endpoints to the point where the two arcs intersect.
=> And you have your equilateral triangle.
-----------------------------------
Hope it helps you.
Thank you.

hey...
make a line segment AB of any length. (6cm)
open compass of length 6cm.
from point A draw an arc.
and
from B draw another arc that intersect arc made by A.
join them.
so A= B=C
