Acid contains H⁺ ions and Bases contain OH⁻ ions.
If we remove H⁺ ions from the acid, the remaining will be conjugate base of that acid and likewise if we remove OH⁻ ions from the base, the remaining will be conjugate acid
.
For example:- HCl is a acid, but Cl⁻ is its conjugate base.
NaOH is a base, but Na⁺ is its conjugate acid.
