I have an idea for you (most simplest)

use anything suitable for a gong......... aluminium bowl(small size) is suitable.....

use a used refill of a ball point pen

thicken one end with soldering iron

fix the another end of the refill on a d c motor....

connect the motor with battery and switch......

place the gong in a correct position , switch on the motor so the thickened end of the refill hits the gong continuously which produces sound
