Ingredients of Instant Papad

1/2 cup black gram flour ( sattu)

1 cup refined oil

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon ginger paste

1 pinch turmeric

1/2 teaspoon chilli powder

1/4 teaspoon thymol seeds

1/4 cup gram flour (besan)

1/4 teaspoon garlic paste

How to make Instant Papad

Step 1

Take a deep-bottomed mixing bowl and add wholemeal flour followed by gram flour, chili powder, thymol seeds, garlic paste, ginger paste, turmeric and salt.

Step 2

Pour in water in the mixture and knead it into a smooth dough. Divide the dough into small equal size portions.

Step 3

Now using a rolling pin, flatten the dough pieces into a circle. Repeat until you finish the other portions too.

Step 4

Now heat refined oil in a deep-bottomed pan on medium flame and transfer the prepared papad in it. Deep fry the papad until it becomes crispy. Transfer it on a tissue to remove excess oil. Serve hot or store it.
