In the ultra-high pressure device, six top hammers (six-sided top) or top hammer cylinders (two-sided top) form a high-pressure chamber, and the pyrophyllite is placed in the high-pressure chamber as a pressure transmitting medium. Under the action of high temperature (electrical top hammer), high pressure and catalyst, graphite undergoes isomeric transformation to form diamond bodies. During the working process, the top hammer cyclically withstands the impact of mechanical stress and thermal stress such as loading temperature rise, pressure holding and cooling, and unloading.  more find in wococarbide

Hey mate!

I am here with your answer!

In the case of the diamonds made at SLAC, the diamondoids are only about 10 carbon atoms in size. Scientists at SLAC make their diamonds using a process known as chemical vapor deposition. In essence, the scientists sprinkle some crushed-up diamond onto a silicon wafer which is then heated up by a plasma.

Hope this will help you!
