How to make the thoughts nil??​

Don't try to. What's the use of having a powerful human mind if it's stagnant ? You shouldn't try to force yourself into any habit of controlling your mind, because the more you try to, the more the brain will fight back.

Thoughts are always there, just like the heart always pumps blood, and the blood reaches the brain, you can rather optimize the conscious part of your brain and give it a direction towards some productive and meaningful thoughts, by observing it.

Firstly, the first and foremost thing is to just let go of every worries, as long as you're worried that you're having excessive thoughts and wasting your time, you won't be able to do anything - not even observe your thoughts, so stop panicking, and for a while - while is not a definite time - relax and observe your thoughts, make mental notes of what and how and when you actually get excessive thoughts. This can lead to one of the two cases - you realize that there isn't any problem in thinking or you try to control them. Now the first case is good, if you realize and make peace with your mind, it by itself will slowly and eventually do things that suit you, and away from your own guilt and stress meanwhile, you'll have the left time to be productive. But if it's the second case, then I highly discourage you from proceeding, don't leave yourself and your brain in a state of guilt and panic, yes - you are wasting time thinking what life would have been if cows flew, but carrying on this guilt that you've wasted time till forever will be of no good, so firstly just clear yourself off of panics and guilts, and accept your thoughts, then you'd be at peace. Good luck, maybe the path isn't so direct, but you'll get there
