just answer him in the simplest possible way or with a example from his daily life

Answer him like his/ her way as a child. As they are innocent they don't know how to manage.
You are elder than him or her you first need to be CALM and QUITE.
The way he / she asks you , then You also answer them like wise....
If the question makes no sense at all...then divert their mind to any other interesting sites,
1) You can give your mobile for a look
2) You can take them to the window for aeroplanes.
3) You can give them chocolate so they shut your mouth
4) but don't hurt them as they are kids.
