Answer:

Mortimer J. Alder's short, yet information, topic essay on How To Mark A Book lives me with the impression that one doesn't own a book until they make it apart of themselves. Now, you can physically buy a book and say you own it. Technically this is true. What I got from reading what Alder wrote is completely different. One doesn't own the book until they have marked it all up and has made it to that where nobody can understand why the marked what they marked except them. Not everybody marks up books though. This also something interesting I got from reading this; there are three different types of  book owners. One who owns a lot of books but doesn't read them, instead just shows them off. They don't even touch or open the book. Another one is the ones that owns a good amount but doesn't read all of them, maybe a few, and shows off the rest. The last is the one that owns a little amount of books but marks in every single of them and completely makes the book apart of them. Not everybody leaves marks in books.
