How to measure length of train in analytical ability?

Here is the answer.

As distance = speed × time

So, by knowing the speed of train and the time taken by it to cross a stationary point / pole we can get the distance travelled by the train in that time with that speed.
And this distance is exactly equal to the length of the train as the whole train has crossed the point in that specific time.
