Set up a block of the materials with ice on one side and steam on the other. Measure the amount of ice that melts. Convert the amount to heat flux using the enthalpy of fusion. Use Jq = k DeltaT / Delta x to find k.This is the approach that we have using a commercial system for our undergraduate laboratory experiment on thermal conductivity. More sophisticated systems can be purchased on the same principle.
