Hey friend there is no need to memorize all you have to do is first learn the chemical name of elements and then balance it ^_^
I know balancing
but for giving examples of any type of reaction

I forget the reactions
even I was in this situation

and then relate it with your examples

Writing is best way....
If u ask me, I remember it this way :-
Read it 10 times
Write it 5 times
Say it 1 time
