Mendel's experiment shows that the triats may be dominat or recessive if the triat which expressed in 75% individual in F2 generation after self fertilization is dominant. The triat which appears in 25% individual is recessive.

Mendel took pea plants with contrasting characters - tall plant and dwarf(short) plant. On cross pollination, he got all tall plants in the F1 generation. Then by self pollination of F1 plants, he produced second generation plants (F2) consists G of tall and short plants of ratio of 3:1. Then he concluded that, 'T' (tall) trait is dominant while 't' trait for shortness is recessive. Hope it helps you
