We can multiply either by removing the decimal and then place it acc. to the numbers in both terms by counting the numbers in both the terms of multiplication

Just follow these steps:
Multiply normally, ignoring the decimal points.
Then put the decimal point in the answer - it will have as many decimal places as the two original numbers combined.
