For example taking...2 3/4 as a mixed fraction...

Now multiply 4 and 2 = 8

And then add the number with 3

8+3 = 11

Now represent ur answer as 11/4

for example you hav to multiply  3 1/4 and 4 1/2:

change them into improper fraction

3 1/4 =(3×4+1)/4=13/4

4 1/2=(4×2+1)/2=9/2

now multiply them as you multiply ordinary fractions

3 1/4 × 4 1/2=13/4 × 9/2

                   = (13×9)/(4×2)

                   =117/8
