Fractions with same denominator can be subtracted or added easily.

Example:2/3+1/3

=(2+1)/3

=3/3

Fractions of differnet denominators are added or subtracted after taking their LCM(Lowest common multiple)

Example:2/5+6/7

After taking LCM you should mulitiply the numerator and denominator with the same number to reach the LCM.

LCM of 5 and 7=35

• 2/5×7/7=14/35

•6/7×5/5=30/35

14/35+30/35=(14+30)/35

=44/35
