The milkman should go along a path in which he has to travel the least distance so that he can complete all deliveries in minimum time. This will increase the overall efficiency of the job and allow him to earn maximum profits. There might be other factors to be taken into account, like traffic on certain routes at certain times of day, amount of volume to be offloaded at each distribution point etc.
