For playing a better cover drive, firstly u have to wait for the ball on cover drive area, then if u are a right hand batsmen u have to take ur left leg in the direction of ball and swings the with timing but not with power, like virat kohli.

2. take the front foot close to the pitch of the ball.
3. swing the bat towards the covers with head down looking at the ball.
4. make sure that the body weight is on the front foot during the shot.
5. the front knee must be bent .
6. ensure that the ball is played along the ground and the weight is behind the shot.
7. make sure the top and firmly controls the handle and keep the bottom hand is loose.
