Empowering women is to make them independent in all  aspects from mind, thought, rights, decisions etc by leaving all the social and family limitations. It is to bring quality in a society for both male and female in all areas.

Empowering women is the main motto of the development department because an empowered mother with child make bright future of any nation. There are many initiating process started by govt. of India in order to bring women in to mainstream of development.

One of the biggest barriers of the women empowerment is the general mindset of our society, according to which women's are expected to to take care of their family and household chores.

Our society does not provide a safe environment to the women. Women are harassed and exploited in different ways by the male employees at workplaces. They hesitate travelling alone during the late evening hours as our roads are not safe for them.
