One of the easiest way to obtain hydrogen is to get it from water..This method employs electrolysis which breaks water into hydrogen and oxygen gas......we can test hhydrogen gas by bringing a burning matchstick near the beaker which contains any chemical substance which has hydrogen in it.....it gives a pop sound....this is the test for hydrogen....
