I have secured CMR 32 in Nift 2018 and have taken up FC at Nift Delhi.
Honestly speaking, I didn't prepare for Nift at all. I was kinda preparing for engineering entrances and nift was something which I gave because I was always keen on designing and creative stuff. So, I can't give a brief idea on how I prepared or how to prepare.
However, I might say that practising the previous year question papers will be of tremendous help.
For CAT, I seriously can't tell about how to prepare or practice.
For GAT, time will be your greatest constraint. I have seen the people around me having solved only half ,or little more than half, the questions when there were only ten minutes left for the exam to get over. I believe my speed to be my advantage during the exam, as I had finished the paper 45 minutes before the completion of the exam.
Maths, was of fairly easy level. Going through your 8th-10th standard formulas will be enough. Mostly questions were from unitary method and all. Formula based.
English, was a bit tricky.
Logical reasoning questions were both easy and tricky. Going through previous years questions will be of greatest help as you can get a clear grasp of how to analyze and solve .
For the gk, it was the most difficult part for me. Some questions were simple, about brand ambassadors and things like that, while the rest were about either exhibitions of which I have never heard of or some trivia questions.
Overall, written test is interesting to attempt and with practice of previous years papers, one can nail them. Only thing to work on will be speed as I think creativity can't be taught and it's something that you need to work on by yourself .
Situation test can either make you or break you. My situation test was nothing short of a debacle. My model was kinda sloppy. So, situation test is something you really need to work on. Again, time will be the greatest constraint . Within a blink, the time will be over
