if its history and you are from cbse background text reading is more than enough. Just give the text a read no need to by heart the matter, the same goes with geography, its better to read notes for economics and civics though. Give a rough read to civis and economics too
a quick glance of text book can fetch you good grades if you had already listened to classes if not just try to read it and understand.
if unable to understand go through exam fear--its useful for science subjects though
