The workers in the unorganised sector are at a big worry nowadays for many reasons. However, a lot of measures can be taken to protect the rights of these workers :-
1) The government has set up a Minimum Wages Act for these workers. However, strict regulations should be made so that it is ensured that the Act is performed properly.
2 ) The working hours of the workers should be limited and they should be paid for overwork.
3) The workers should be provided with safety instruments like dust masks, gloves and protective helmets.
4) The workers should be employed regularly and should be given a prior notice before they are un-employed so that there job is not felt unsecured.
