How to prove that H:O in water by means is 2:1?

the number of hydrogen atoms in water = 2
the number of oxygen atoms in water =1
so, the ratio between them =2:1

It's easy...First Hydrogen has a one electron in its outermost shell and Oxygen needs two...to complete it's octet....so compound formed...is H2O means 2 mole of Hydrogen and..one mole of oxygen so..H:O is 2:1
