How to prove three points are collinear by section formula?

It can be easily proved by the formula of area of triangle.
Which is 0 of three collinear points.

Let as assume that we have to prove point A , B and C Collinear.

A________B_________C

By section formula we have to find the length of AB , BC , AC

and just equate them

if AC = AB + BC

then the points are collinear.


Section Formula :-

 \sqrt{ {(x1 -x2)}^{2} +  {(y1 - y2)}^{2}  }

It also can be proved by Area of Triangle formula .

Coz if points are collinear then the area will always equal to zero !!
