Let's say we have to find a rational no. b/w 2 and 3

The formula for inserting a rational no. b/w 2 no.s is a+b/2

Now let a= 2

             b= 3

Now apply the formula

∴ a+b/2 = 2+3/2

             = 5/2

             = 2.5

∴ Our answer is 2.5
