If X increases and Y decreases with the increase in X,
then X is inversely proportional to Y.
If X increases and Y also increases then X is directly proportional to Y
Hope U understand.
If you satisfied mark it brainliest.
If you have any doubd ask in comment section.

we can recognise this easily. If one quantity is increasing and the other is decreasing , then it is inverse proportion. For example , time and speed. If we increase the speed , the less time will be taken. If we decrease the speed , then more time will be taken to cover that distance.
In direct proportion , if one quantity increase , then the other also increase. if the other quantity decrease , the other also decrease. for example , length of a cloth and its cost. If we buy more length of cloth then its cost will also increase.
.
It is very easy concept.
