how to represent 3.5 on number line

2. Now, extend the line segment to C so that BC = 1 unit.

3. Identify the midpoint of AC and mark as O.

4. Draw a semicircle considering O to be its centre and OA as its radius

5. Now draw a  line perpendicular to AC such that BD ⊥ AC, which intersects the semicircle at the point D.

6. Then, BD = 3.5

7. Having B as its centre and BD as the radius, draw an arc, meeting AC extended to E. Then, BE = BD = 3.5
