draw a line segment AB 8.25cm and again draw BC 1cm in the same line segment .
then bisect the line segment AC and draw a semi circle from A to C. now from B draw 90 degrees angle and that touches the semi circle . then from B to the touched point draw tan arc to the number line . that is root 8.25
