How to represent electrons in a shell??? plsss answer

In first shell there is 2 electrons in second shell there is 8 electrons and then 18  and 32 it will change according to atomic no.

Let us take sodium. Its atomic number is 11:-

K    L     M    N

2     8     1      -

K shell is innermost shell and hence only 2 dots (representing electrons) can be showed. Then comes L shell and 8 dots would be filled. Similarly in M shell one electron should be represented.
