How to represent non terminating decimal number in form of rational number

we can easily represent non terminating decimal number in the form of p/q

Example

0.3bar

let x be 0.333333.........eq (1)

bar on 10th digit then

10x=3.333333.........eq(2)

subtracting eq (1) from eq (2)

9x =3

x =3/9

x=1/3

by this method we can represent the non terminating decimal in the form of a rational number
