so ,let 4/7 is a rational number...

Now,

we represent it on number line .....

so, the steps are....

1.Draw a line segment.

2.Mark the point from 0 to 1 by giving space of 7 (becoz our denominator is 7)

3.now count 4 from 0 ....the 4th point is 4/7....
