how to represent root 3 on a number line

first draw a line of scale 1 cm
then mark the numbers (-2 , -1 , 0 , 1 , 2, 3, 4 )
draw 1cm line perpendicular to the point 1 and mark it as m
draw a line from 0 to m
take a comps and keep the sharp edge in 0 and pencil edge in m
bring it down it is root 2
and draw a straight 1cm line from the root 2
attach the line to the 0
then mark it as w 
draw a arch from w to the line that is root 3
