Hey There,

First, Find the constituents of root 6 (i.e. Root 2 x root 3).

Now on a number line take 3 units.

Then take 2 units perpendicular to the 3 units.

Now draw a straight line joining the hypotenuse at o to the perpendicular.

Now, according to Pythagoras Theorem,

(hypotenuse) ^ 2 = (2) ^ 2 x (3) ^ 2
(hypotenuse) ^ 2 = 4 x 9
(hypotenuse) ^ 2 = 36
Hypotenuse = root 36 = 6

Now, using a compass, and hypotenuse as the radius and o as the center, draw an arc cutting the positive edge of the number line.

The point cutting the number line is root 6.

Hope you get the answer.
